We released a significant set of improvements in March, with a major focus on making AI-generated reviews more powerful and readable, expanding feedback and goal flexibility, and improving everyday platform reliability. Below is a breakdown of what's new, organized by feature.

🤖 AI & Reviews

  • AI draft generation now supports rich text: AI-generated performance review drafts can now include rich text formatting, making drafts more engaging and easier to read.

  • More comprehensive review sources in AI drafts: You can now generate AI review drafts that incorporate feedback (internal and external), meeting notes, and goals — including progress logs — alongside review tasks, for a more holistic picture of an employee's performance.

  • Improved AI draft narratives: AI-generated drafts are now written as fluid narratives for each section, replacing previous bullet-point summaries for a more natural, readable result.

  • External feedback tool integration: External feedback can now be gathered and incorporated directly into the review process for a more well-rounded perspective.

  • Improved grade display for employees: Employees will no longer see AI explanations or the original AI-generated grade when viewing their own results.

  • Enhanced performance review exports for managers: Cited sources in exported performance reviews now appear under a distinct "Citations" header in a cleaner citation-style format, reducing confusion between what managers and employees see.

  • Improved review publishing for orphaned users: HR and Admin users can now publish reviews for employees without managers directly from the admin review page, ensuring no review gets left behind.

📝 Feedback & Goals

  • Meeting Note Taker Link: After creating a meeting, you'll now see the note-taking URL surfaced clearly on the meeting page, making it easy to copy and add into external calendar invites for streamlined meeting preparation.

  • Associate shout outs with multiple goals: Brag Sheets now allow you to link shout outs to multiple SMART goals, offering greater flexibility when logging accomplishments.

  • New "Meeting Shoutout" feedback type: "Meeting Shoutout" has been added as a feedback type, alongside existing options like Slack, recognizing the moments of recognition that happen during meetings.

  • Multiple values per brag sheet entry: Users can now add multiple values to a single brag sheet entry for more expressive and accurate recognition.

  • New biweekly recurring meeting option: You can now schedule recurring meetings on a biweekly cadence when setting up your meetings.

⚡ Platform & Performance

  • Audit logs for Admins: Administrators now have access to a preliminary audit log system and dashboards displaying feature usage, helping track adoption and assess impact per company. Logs are retained in-app for up to 6 months, with longer-term storage available via S3 export.

  • Optimized frontend build: An enhanced frontend build process with smarter JavaScript chunking, reduced memory usage, and removal of obsolete dependencies means faster load times and a smoother overall experience.

  • Table pagination fixes: Pagination issues in tables that occurred after the last Material UI upgrade have been resolved, restoring proper navigation for large data sets.
