Product Releases: April 2026
From a brand-new chat engine to company-wide goal hierarchies and bulk user invitations, April was one of our biggest months yet.
April brought sweeping improvements across the platform — deeper goal management at every level of your organization, a completely upgraded chat experience, smarter AI drafting, and major usability wins for HR and Admin users. Here's a breakdown of what we shipped, organized by feature.
🎯 Goals
- Company and department goals: Administrators and HR users can now define and track goals at the company level, while managers can create, edit, and oversee department-level goals. Everyone stays focused on the big picture, with clear alignment from company objectives down to individual contributions.
- Goal hierarchy and key result visibility: Every goals list now shows objectives with key results nested visually underneath, along with owner avatars and collaborator access. This makes it easy to see how goals and key results connect at the company, department, and personal levels.
- Goal alignment across levels: You can now link user-level goals to department objectives, and department goals to company objectives — creating a clear, connected hierarchy across the organization.
- Goal collaborators — expanded access: Anyone can now be added as a collaborator on any goal, including personal ones. Collaborators can view the goal and log progress, while ownership controls remain with managers, HR, and admins. Department and company-level goals are now visible in view-only mode to all employees.
- Department context when creating personal objectives: When linking a new personal objective to a department goal, you'll instantly see that department goal's full details and key results right in the form — making alignment easier from the start.
- "My Team's Goals" tab renamed: The tab has been updated with a clearer label to signal it's for managers tracking direct reports' progress. If you don't manage anyone, it's hidden or shows clear guidance.
- Mobile goal management: The goal management experience for individual contributors is now streamlined and easier to use on mobile devices.
🤖 Reviews
- Improved AI draft source matching: The AI draft generator now uses more context-aware queries to find relevant review sources, producing higher-quality, more accurate drafts.
- Reliable exclusion of assessments from AI drafts: The "Exclude assessment from AI draft" option now works correctly in production, giving admins confident control over what's included in generated drafts.
- Improved AI draft transparency: When generating drafts, the platform now stores the raw AI messages, making it easier to understand and troubleshoot the steps the AI followed.
- New chat engine: The chat system has been upgraded to a faster, more capable engine that supports real-time message streaming, interactive AI agent actions, and in-chat data and tool references. The upgrade also removes legacy features (like old video avatar chat and outdated onboarding flows) for a cleaner, more focused experience. Conversations can now be retried or reset, and messages update automatically after a conversation finishes.
- Improved chat retry: Retried assessments now keep their original IDs, preserving their inbox status and ensuring consistency when AI drafts are generated.
📊 Data & User Management
- Bulk invite: HR and Admin users can now invite multiple users at once, making onboarding new hires significantly faster.
- Edit user email: You can now update a user's email address directly in the platform when it changes.
- User invitation and login tracking: You can now see exactly when a user invitation was sent and when each user last logged in — visible in both the user table and the super admin user table. (Note: data collection starts from the date of this release.)
- User table enhancements: The user list now displays Employment Start Date for easier onboarding tracking. Inactive users are handled correctly — they no longer appear in searches or employee selectors unless filtered, and are archived rather than deleted. The "role" column has been renamed to "usertype" to reduce confusion with job titles.
🎨 Platform Design & Navigation
- Improved breadcrumbs: Goal breadcrumbs now show accurate navigation and eliminate "phantom" pages that didn't link anywhere. Manager and employee views each provide the correct context. Breadcrumbs and headers for My Team's Appraisals now consistently match the page title, and viewing a team member's profile as a manager correctly navigates back to "My Team's Profile."
- Consistent button styles: All secondary action buttons (like download, reset, and filter) now use a unified style, with the primary "Add" button remaining the clear standout action on each page.
