Log progress entries as you work toward your goal

As you make progress toward your goals, log updates in Zal.ai to track your movement and create a record for performance reviews.

Steps to Add a Progress Entry

  1. Go to Goals in the main navigation.
  2. Click on the goal you want to update (must be In Progress status).
  3. Click Add Progress.
  4. Enter the progress amount (the measurable movement toward your target).
  5. Add a brief explanation of what contributed to this progress.
  6. Click Save.

Viewing Progress History

Click on any goal to see all progress entries that have been logged. Each entry includes both the measurable movement and a brief explanation, giving you (and your manager) context behind the numbers.

Best Practices

  • Update goals regularly—weekly or bi-weekly works well
  • Include specific details about what you accomplished
  • Discuss progress, wins, and blockers during your 1:1s
Why it matters: Goal progress is included as a data source in your performance review, so regular updates help ensure your accomplishments are captured.
