The Goal Lifecycle
1. Draft
You create a goal but haven't submitted it yet. Use this status to refine your goal before sharing with your manager.
2. Pending Approval
You've submitted the goal to your manager for review. Manager approval is required before you can begin tracking progress.
3. In Progress
Your manager has approved the goal. You can now log progress updates as you work toward your target.
4. Accomplished
You've achieved your goal! Mark it complete to close it out.
5. Missed
The goal wasn't achieved by its target date. Close it as missed to keep your goal list current.
Viewing Your Goals
Click Goals in the main navigation. At the top of the page, you'll see a goal status summary showing where your goals stand. Below that, each goal displays its timeline, target, and current progress.
Goals in Performance Reviews
Your goals and progress updates are automatically included as data sources when your manager writes your performance review. This allows measurable outcomes to be referenced in your evaluation.
We recommend updating goals regularly and discussing progress, wins, and blockers during your 1:1s with your manager.
