Zal.ai allows admins to create meeting type templates with pre-defined agendas. This article explains how to create a performance review conversation meeting type so managers can use a consistent agenda when discussing reviews with their direct reports.

How to Create a Meeting Type

  1. From the left navigation, click Settings.
  2. Select Meeting Types.
  3. Click + Add Meeting Type.
  4. Fill in the details:
    • Title: e.g., "Performance Review Conversation"
    • Description: Brief explanation of the meeting's purpose
    • Suggested Duration: e.g., 60 minutes
  5. Use the rich text editor to create an Agenda template.
  6. Click Save.

Here's a suggested agenda you can adapt:

  1. Open the conversation – check in on how the employee is feeling
  2. Share overall performance rating and context
  3. Discuss strengths and accomplishments
  4. Review areas for growth and development
  5. Set goals for the next review period
  6. Answer employee questions
  7. Employee acknowledgment of review
Tip: The agenda you create will automatically appear in the public notepad of every meeting that uses this meeting type.
