Admins: Confirm Employee Data Before a Review Cycle

Ensure departments, roles, and managers are correct

Before launching a review cycle, make sure your employee data in Zal.ai is accurate and up to date. Incorrect data directly affects how your review cycle runs.

What to Check

Department – Determines which employees are included if you're segmenting your cycle by team.

Role – Determines what each person can see and do.

Manager – The manager assigned to each employee is the person responsible for completing their performance review. It's important these relationships are correct.

Steps to Review Employee Data

  1. Navigate to SettingsUsers.
  2. Click Export to download your full user list.
  3. Review the data in the exported file.
  4. Make updates as needed (see below).

Making Updates

One-off changes: Click on a person's name and update their settings directly.

Bulk updates: Edit the exported file and re-upload it using the Import option.

Tip: Complete this verification at least a week before launching your review cycle to give yourself time to fix any issues.
