Admins: Calibrate and Approve Reviews

Ensure fair, consistent ratings across your organization

During the HR approval phase, you'll review submitted performance reviews, participate in calibration sessions, and approve finalized reviews before managers can publish them.

Accessing Submitted Reviews

Go to ReviewsMy Team's Appraisals. Filter by In Review status to see all submitted reviews awaiting calibration.

Reviewing a Performance Appraisal

  1. Click on an employee's name to open their appraisal.
  2. Review each section. You'll see:
  • The original AI-generated response (left side)
  • The manager's final submission (right side)
  • The percentage of the draft the manager changed

Running Calibration Sessions

Many organizations hold calibration sessions where HR and stakeholders review evaluations together to ensure ratings are fair and consistent. Use the ratings distribution chart at the top of My Team's Appraisals to spot trends and inconsistencies.

Look for patterns like a manager who rated their whole team significantly higher or lower than the rest of the organization.

Approving or Requesting Changes

To request changes: Click Request Changes and enter feedback. The review returns to the manager.

To approve: Click Approve Section for each section, then Approve Review.

Note: Admins cannot view or approve their own performance review. Another admin must handle yours.
